Nick Jonas reportedly turned down millions of dollars to perform at a Republican National Convention event.

According to a report by TMZ, the 23-year-old singer was offered close to $2 million dollars by a “private donor” to play a concert under the billing of an “All Lives Matter” event in Cleveland on July 24. The concert was to be a post-RNC celebration to thank the city and the people of Cleveland for hosting the four-day convention that resulted in Donald Trump becoming the Republican presidential nominee. Reports say that Jonas wasn’t able to play because of a “pre-scheduled appearance” at Roc National in New York.

Justin Bieber was reportedly offered $5 million dollars to play a RNC event, but turned it down after his manager, Scooter Braun, threatened to quit. Bieber was promised the event would not be political. They were also told he could not post any signs that said “Black Lives Matter” but could include signs at the show that read “All Lives Matter.”
