A new report says that authorities believe that Kim Kardashian was tailed for days before she was robbed in her Parisian apartment.
Two men — one dressed as a police officer, one as a photographer — are suspected of tailing the 35-year-old reality television star for up to three days before the robbery where gunmen made off with $11 million dollars worth of jewelry, according to the Daily Mail. “Kim Kardashian was tailed for at least three days before the robbery,” the source told the outlet. “We know there was one man who pretended to be a photographer who followed the American celebrity on a motorbike to find out her whereabouts. Another man pretended to be a plainclothed detective to try to get a seat next to her at the exclusive Ferdi restaurant on Thursday night.” (RELATED: Paris Mayor Insists ‘Streets Are Protected’ After Kim Kardashian Robbery)
“But both men were fakes,” the source added. “The photographer tried to listen in to the conversations by other snappers but he was challenged by the genuine ones. And the so-called policeman fled when staff at Ferdi asked to see his credentials.”
“We know the license plate of one of the vehicles used — a Fiat 500 — and a photograph of one of the suspects,” the source continued. “They both appear to be French and highly professional. But this kind of robbery could only have been carried out by a sophisticated international criminal organization.”
“It would have to be if they had any hope of reclassify the stolen jewels and sell them again.”
French authorities have already suggested that the robbery may have been “an inside job.” Adding, that her security detail is suspected off tipping off the gunmen that she was alone in the apartment.
During the robbery, Kardashian had a gun held to her. She was then bound and gagged and left in the bathtub of the Paris apartment before the gunmen made off with the jewelry.
The reality star managed to get free after they left and notified authorities. She arrived back in New York Monday flocked by tons of security.
