Chaffetz: Yeah, We’re Still Investigating Hillary

Hillary Clinton has been dealing with her stunning electoral loss in various soothing ways: Wandering around in the woods, going to the supermarket and waiting for people to recognize her, giving awards to Katy Perry, etc. Y’know, the usual. It hurts to lose, especially when you think it’s your turn because you have a vagina. But Hillary is doing about as well as can be expected.

If she thinks the worst is over, though… Maybe not! Mark Hensch, The Hill:

House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) says Hillary Clinton’s actions as secretary of State have raised too many red flags for Congress to stop investigating her just because she lost the presidential election.

“We can’t just simply let this go,” Chaffetz told host Martha MacCallum on Fox News’s “America’s Newsroom” Wednesday…

I’d certainly hope not. She shouldn’t be above the law, win or lose.

But if you’re still chanting “LOCK HER UP,” you might wanna hang onto your handcuffs:

During the 2016 campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly promised to prosecute Clinton for her use of a private server while she led the State Department.

Trump has dialed down his rhetoric since winning the White House, however, noting last week that Clinton has already “suffered greatly” for her actions.

Weird, right? It’s almost as if Trump only told you what you wanted to hear, and now that he’s gotten what he wanted, he doesn’t have to pretend to believe it anymore.

Almost!

Well, maybe Chaffetz really means it. I remain skeptical that laws will suddenly start applying to Hillary Clinton. But I was wrong about her getting elected, so I hope I’m wrong about her getting away with this. She’s always looked stunning in orange.

P.S. Welcome back from horsie-ridin’ pervert camp, Anthony Weiner! Good luck getting back your phone.
