Speaking live in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump blasted media for its priorities.

“Global is wonderful, but right now we want to focus on our national interests,” Trump said Thursday evening in the Buckeye state.

The President-elect delivered a message of unity, imploring for prosperity at home and peace abroad. He pushed a message of “America first,” pledging to put millions of Americans back to work, including “Ohio Miners.”

Trump joked that he wanted to wait until next week to announce his Secretary of Defense pick, but then said, “we will appoint Mad Dog Mattis to Secretary of Defense, referring to ret. General James Mattis. (RELATED: Report: Trump Taps ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis for Secretary of Defense)

“Do you agree with my stance that if people burn the American flag there should be consequences?” Trump asked the crowd, to which they cheered and started a chant of U.S.A

The President-elect again said he would build a wall, but did not respond to chants of “lock her up,” when a reference was made to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
