Carlson’s show, which began airing in November in the slot previously occupied by Greta Van Susteren, led Fox News to one of its biggest ratings months in network history.

The Mediaite staff applauded The Daily Caller founder not only for being one of the “few cable newsers” to have hosted on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News, but also for being “one of the few media figures to thrive both on television and digital.”

Under his tenure as editor-in-chief of The Daily Caller, Mediaite congratulated the site for having “frequently dictated the election’s top issues and controversies.”
