President Donald Trump referred to the current global stage as “a mess” during his Wednesday joint press conference with Jordan’s King Abdullah II.
A reporter had just asked the two heads of state about the Trump administration’s accountability for the current state of world affairs, considering POTUS laid some of the blame for Tuesday’s chemical attack in Syria at the feet of the Obama administration.
“I have to just say, the world is a mess,” Trump told reporters. “I inherited a mess.”
“Whether it’s the Middle East, whether it’s North Korea, whether it’s so many other things, whether it’s in our country, horrible trade deals, I inherited a mess.”
“We’re going to fix it,” he added. “We’re going to fix it.”
