Several populists who backed Donald Trump during his presidential campaign condemned his decision to launch a missile strike against a Syrian military field.

Former UKIP leader and Brexit figure Nigel Farage said he was “surprised” by Trump’s move.

“I am very surprised by this. I think a lot of Trump voters will be waking up this morning and scratching their heads and saying ‘where will it all end?'” Farage said on the LBC radio network. “As a firm Trump supporter, I say, yes, the pictures were horrible, but I’m surprised. Whatever Assad’s sins, he is secular.”

Conservative commentator and Trump supporter Ann Coulter tweeted “those who wanted U.S. meddling in the Middle East voted for other candidates.”

InfoWars editor Paul Joseph Watson said he was “officially OFF the Trump train.”

France’s National Front leader and presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen said she “strongly condemned” the “horrible” airstrike.

“Is it too much to ask that we wait for the results of an independent international investigation before carrying out a strike like this in Syria?” Le Pen said Friday on the France 2 channel, according to The Local.
