CNN misspelled Philippines during Monday’s “Newsroom” broadcast, instead writing “Phillipines” on their chyron.
The mistake happened during a segment with John Kirby and David Chalian discussing Trump’s White House invitation to Rodrigo Duterte and openness to talks with North Korean president Kim Jong-un.
“Phillipines President Duterte now says he may not have time,” the incorrect chyron read.

The mistake remained on the chyron for several minutes while host Pamela Brown discussed Sean Spicer’s defense of Trump’s comments.
