Whoopi Goldberg Thinks Trump Is Just Like Raul Castro

Whoopi Goldberg compared President Donald Trump to Cuba President Raul Castro when it comes to being able to speak out against the government and holding “free and fair elections.”

During a panel discussion on “The View” Monday the co-hosts were talking about Trump’s recent move to roll back Obama-era policies when it comes to Cuba because of its well-documented human rights violations. (RELATED: Fight Breaks Out On ‘The View’ Over Why Hillary Lost)

“He [Trump] didn’t really do that much…he didn’t undo what Obama did a hundred percent,” Joy Behar insisted. “But he did just enough to say to his base, ‘You see, I undid what Obama did.’ That seems to be what his…”

“No, he did a lot,” Jedediah Bila responded. “What was happening is American citizens were going over there and funding these establishments, thinking they are promoting democracy and promoting ideas that are good for the Cuba people, but actually all of that money was going to the Cuban military. And that’s what Trump is saying. What the Obama administration did, it did not help the Cuban people.”

Sunny Hostin jumped in and said she was “not going to compare the United States to Cuba,” but felt that Cuban officials were correct in their assessment about the problems of racial discrimination and police brutality in the U.S.

“Cuba’s harboring a convicted cop killer,” Bila snapped back. “No, Cuba does not have a point. This show…you see the block we just did on Donald Trump, let’s try to take this show over to Cuba and let’s criticize Raul Castro. That would not happen.”

“You can barely do it here,” Goldberg interjected. “Let’s talk about that. You know, we’re not there yet.”

“We are doing it here everyday,” Bila responded. “But on this issue, he’s setting conditions. He’s saying, release your political prisoners, have free and fair elections…”

“You first Mr. T, ” Goldberg responded as she refuses to say Trump’s name.
