Melania Trump topped the latest CNN poll for the most popular member of the Trump family in results out Thursday night.
The first lady came in with a 44 percent favorability versus 35 percent of those polled who had an unfavorable view of her. Ivanka Trump came in next with 41 percent of those polled who gave her a favorable view while the same percentage and an unfavorable view of the first daughter. President Donald Trump saw his favorability hit 41 percent with those respondents viewing the president as favorable versus 57 percent who had an unfavorable opinion.
White House Senior advisor Jared Kushner came in fourth place with a 20 percent favorability and 39 percent unfavorable view of Trump’s son-in-law.
Looking deeper into the poll, men and women almost equally have a favorable view of the first lady with men coming in at 49 percent versus woman with 40 percent. However, in the unfavorable opinion only 28 percent of the men had a negative view of Melania compared to 42 percent of the women who responded.
These results show the president was right again. During a recent dinner for the White House Historical Association, Trump told the group that the most popular Trump was his wife, recalling their warm reception they got during trips to Texas, Louisiana and Florida after the devastating hurricanes.
“I’m going turn it over to the star of the Trump family,” the president shared. “They love her out there. We walked all over Florida, we walked all over Texas, and they’re loving Melania.”
The poll was conducted between Sept. 17-20 with a total of 1053 respondents. The margin of error for the poll is plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.
