The pro-life group And Then There Were None (ATTWN) tallied up its numbers and found that more than 400 abortion workers have left their jobs since ATTWN became involved.

“We are up to 419 abortion workers who have left the abortion industry and who have come through And Then There Were None,” organization founder Abby Johnson told CBN News. “And we also have had seven full-time abortion doctors leave the abortion industry.”

She explained that trying to convince people who work in the abortion industry to leave and join the pro-life movement is difficult and often a hard sell because abortion workers frequently don’t see another way out or haven’t been able to talk to other abortion workers who might also wish to leave. Planned Parenthood has brought lawsuits against multiple abortion workers who left the company and since then have spoken out about their time working for the abortion organization.

Other abortion workers don’t know how to leave because many other business and companies won’t hire people who’ve worked for an abortion organization. Despite these challenges, Johnson’s group has helped hundreds of women leave abortion work by offering these workers financial and legal help, as well as emotional support. They also work with these women to help find them work after their departure from the abortion business.

Johnson, who was also a former abortion worker, left her work after she realized that abortion does not empower.

“We believe that abortion strips women of their dignity. We believe that motherhood is empowering. We believe that not conforming and giving into societal pressures when it comes to femininity is empowering,” Johnson wrote on her website. “We believe in redefining the pro-life movement to include everyone, every age, race, gender, religion and every job.”
