MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was quick to bash the White House for their response to alleged domestic abuser Rob Porter, despite the TV host’s own abuse and sexual harassment scandals.

WATCH:

Porter resigned from his White House post after two of his ex-wives came forward with accusations of domestic abuse. Matthews questioned why the White House hadn’t done anything about Porter sooner, despite assertions from two former “Hardball” staffers that MSNBC’s HR department has been unhelpful about Matthews’ own misbehavior.

“You and I know the FBI works with any government, any politically elected government, like this Trump administration–you rely on the FBI to do a full field investigation on one of your employees,” Matthews asserted. “So they had a full field report on Rob Porter…they didn’t act on it apparently.”

While Matthews isn’t accused of domestic abuse, The Daily Caller did reveal in December that NBC made a separation-related payment to a female staffer after she accused Matthews of sexual harassment. Two sources independently alleged that the woman was pushed out of the network overnight after she complained about Matthews behavior. Furthermore, six sources — including former NBC staffers and guests — alleged that Matthews runs a sexist and verbally abusive work environment that has led to a number of complaints. Two former staffers independently referred to themselves as victims of battered wives syndrome and alleged that HR and MSNBC executives knew about Matthews’ behavior. After The Daily Caller’s expose on the work environment at “Hardball,” The Cut uncovered an exclusive video that showed Matthews joking about slipping a rape date drug to then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
