Late night host Jimmy Kimmel said in a recent interview with O Magazine that his outspoken political stances have cost him “commercially.”

According to ET Online, Kimmel said, “According to polls I’ve seen, it has cost me commercially. That’s not ideal, but I wouldn’t change anything I said.”

“I know my job is, for the most part, to entertain people and make them laugh,” he also said. “That said, if I can be selfish every once in a while and talk about something serious that’s important to me, then I do want to take that opportunity.”

Kimmel has been a frequent critic of President Donald Trump.

He said in February that conservatives are too dumb to be talk radio hosts.

“It just so happens that almost every talk show host is a liberal and that’s because it requires a level of intelligence,” Kimmel said. (RELATED: Jimmy Kimmel: Conservatives Are Too Dumb To Be Talk Show Hosts)

The late night host also made an inappropriate joke last month about White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders having fake orgasms. (RELATED: Jimmy Kimmel Jokes About Sarah Sanders Having Fake Orgasms For Valentine’s Day)
