MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” gave quite the softball interview to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the socialist who defeated Democratic incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in a New York primary race Tuesday night.

WATCH:

Ocasio-Cortez, who ran on abolishing ICE and providing free medicare-for-all, is one of the most radical Democratic candidates to run in the 2018 midterms. The “Morning Joe” crew, however, chose not to press her on the extreme beliefs she holds and instead fawned over her victory repeatedly.

“Have you had a chance to take it all in, and how are you feeling?” Mika Brzezinski asked to kick off the interview.

“You know, it feels great,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “It felt great even before the results came in, walking around the community, seeing how many people were excited to vote yesterday was incredible. And I think we’re just kind of still processing with the rest of the nation right now.”

Brzezinski also insisted that Ocasio-Cortez has the “clearest message” that she’s heard from a Democrat while Joe Scarborough fawned over her “hard work” knocking on doors to win the election.

Ocasio-Cortez also earned praise from the cohosts for not specifically mentioning President Donald Trump in her campaign while others noted her work at the border and her young age.

The toughest question she received from panelists was how she plans to pay for her many proposed socialist programs.
