One-time White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci prides himself in sitting firmly on the fence, in liking journalists, his former colleagues, and despising a few at the same time.
Hell, he even had kind things to say about Omarosa, who recently released a tell-all, Unhinged, and is doing her level best to destroy President Trump by branding him a racist and dripping out recordings as fast as the news cycle can handle them.
Scaramucci, meanwhile, seems intent on calming everyone down. He has this torturous lullaby attitude. Hey, can’t we all just get along for the sake of the country? Can’t we all just hang out on Italy’s Amalfi coast in aviator sunglasses, smiles and chill? Scaramucci apparently just adores Italy — back in September of last year, he was in Rome with then-Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Whatever show he’s putting on, like Michael Avenatti, the porn star lawyer for Stormy Daniels who may — please, God, let him shit the bed on this one — one day be our president, Scaramucci hasn’t met a camera, podcast or TV hit he doesn’t like.
He has also become quite outspoken on Twitter, especially when the haters come for him.
On Monday, it was Recode‘s founder and Executive Editor Kara Swisher, who mocked him for defending former Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort by metaphorically noting the size of Scaramucci’s thumbs. Manafort’s future is in the hands of a jury that is still deliberating his fate. He’s facing 18 criminal counts in federal court. He has entered a plea of not guilty.
The dialogue with Swisher began with Scaramucci sucking up to Trump.
TRUMP: “I think the whole Manafort trial is sad. I think it’s a very sad day for our country. He worked for a me for a very short period of time. But you know what, he happens to be a very good person. I think it’s very sad what they’ve done to Paul Manafort.”
Spoiler alert: Abominable ass kissing ahead.
SCARAMUCCI: “Agree completely. We have our fingers crossed for Paul.”
KARA SWISHER: “Hey @Scaramucci naughty to have so many fat thumbs on the deli scale.”
Then Mooch tried to kiss up to her, too, while attempting humor. He’s referring to Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.
“You must be confusing me with @jack who has both feet on the scale and is suppressing ideas and ideology right here on @Twitter right now!” he exclaimed. “Please visit when in NY!”
Swisher didn’t respond. But look who did: Oscar Mayer, a company best known for its hotdogs, bologna and ham.
“The natural taste you love, perfect for sandwiches, snacks and everything in between,” an employee from the verified account tweeted.
