The internet was set on fire after New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski retired Sunday.

Rob Gronkowski presented a great proposition to brands. He represented the party without ever getting in trouble.

We (I’m guilty as well) use the word dominant too much when discussing players. That word should be reserved for the rare talents like Rob Gronkowski. He was unstoppable! In the passing game AND the running game. Special, special player. A dominant force.

Congrats to my little, I mean younger, bro. Unreal career that entertained and impressed everyone that got to watch. pic.twitter.com/2TpPNsgaer

Rob Gronkowski is the greatest player to ever play his position. He has the best per-game receiving stats ever for a tight end, could physically dominate anyone in the run game (through his last game), and he was endlessly enjoyable to watch. His legacy is that he was peerless.

Rob Gronkowski retired. A surefire Hall of Fame tight end who really never wavered from being the same, simple, “doesn’t take much to make me happy” person he was when he danced onstage with his brothers when he was drafted. Fortunate to have covered him. pic.twitter.com/CFlV8Ev45m

What an incredible run for Gronkowski. He’s had the kind of career most athletes can only ever dream about. He showed up and showed out for several years and was entertaining the entire time.
There’s no question that he’s earned the right to relax and cut loose in retirement. I can’t wait to see what’s on the horizon for him.
I’m sure that it’s going to be incredibly entertaining.
