ESPN is dropping a documentary this fall about Manti Te’o’s infamous fake girlfriend scandal.

Dan Van Natta tweeted a preview image from the upcoming “Background” installment, and this one is going to be required viewing. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The documentary will be titled “Manti Te’o: Too Good to Check.”

I’m so in on this that it’s not even funny. For those of you who don’t know, Te’o was catfished while playing for Notre Dame.

He thought he was in a long distance relationship with a woman named Lennay Kekua, but Kekua was really a man by the name of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo.

There are wild scandals, and then there’s the Te’o girlfriend scandal. One of the best football players in America was dating a dude he thought was a woman!

I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried. Hollywood couldn’t even make something like this up.

Manti Te’o literally talked about Lennay Kekua dying of cancer on national television and she wasn’t even real!

How does a dude who is one of the best athletes on the planet get duped into a situation like this? It’ll forever blow my mind, and now ESPN will cover it in a documentary!

Let’s not forget this dude gave an interview where he talked about meeting this person, who again, didn’t exist!

Oh, I am so excited for this documentary. Whenever “Manti Te’o: Too Good to Check” comes out, I’m so in that it’s not even funny! It’s going to be absolutely incredible.
