Carrie Underwood Wins Top Title At 2021 CMT Music Awards

Musician Carrie Underwood took home the top award Wednesday night at the Country Music Television (CMT) Music Awards along with John Legend.

The duo brought home Video of the Year for their song “Hallelujah.”

“Thank you fans! Thank you CMT!” Underwood said while accepting the award, as noted by Fox News. “You’re the reason we’re all here doing what we do, doing what we love [and] making music videos.” (RELATED: Carrie Underwood Is CMT Music Award’s Most Decorated Artist)

Underwood also performed during the CMT Music Awards show. The former “American Idol” winner performed “I Wanna Remember” alongside Christian rock band NEEDTOBREATHE. She stunned in a beautiful silver sparkly dress.

Underwood’s award extended her run as the most decorated artist in CMT history. She has now won 23 awards over the years, nine of them being for Video of the Year, according to Entertainment Tonight. The artist won the award the last three years in a row, the outlet reported.

Male Video of the Year: “Worship You” – Kane Brown
Duo/Group Video of the Year: “Wine, Beer, Whiskey” – Little Big Town
Breakthrough Video of the Year: “Famous Friends” – Kane Brown, Chris Young
CMT Performance of the Year: “The Other Girl” – Kelsea Ballerini, Halsey
Best Family Feature: “The Best Day (Taylor’s Version) – Taylor Swift
