‘The Office’ Actor Dave Koechner Arrested For Alleged Hit And Run, DUI

Dave Koechner, known for playing Todd Packer on NBC’s “The Office” was arrested New Year’s Eve for a suspected DUI and hit-and-run in Simi Valley, California.

Koechner was pulled over around 3 P.M. after police received a phone call complaining about an erratic driver, according to TMZ. He was then arrested after failing a field sobriety test and allegedly hitting a street sign with his car.

Koechner was taken to the Ventura County Jail where he remained until just before 6 A.M. the next morning, ET reported.

Koechner was set to kick off his comedy tour Jan. 6. in Rochester, New York. It is set to end May 21 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Koechner is expected to appear March 30 before the court in Ventura, California, for this incident. It is not clear whether this will affect his tour schedule in any way.

Known for his comedic roles, Koechner has appeared in ABC’s “The Goldbergs” and has held several roles in the series “Drunk History.” Koechner appeared for one season of SNL in 1995 and performed alongside Will Ferrell.

Koechner also co-starred with Ferrell in several comedic films including, “Anchorman” and “Talladega Nights.”  He recently provided voice acting for the animated film “Marmaduke” alongside Pete Davidson. (RELATED: NBC Releases Video Of Michael Scott’s 10 Greatest Quotes)

Koechner filed for divorce in 2020 from his wife of 22-years, Leigh Koechner, who hosts the podcast, “Messy Imperfect Life With Leigh,” Page Six reported. They have five children.
