A trailer came out Monday for a new video game, “I Am Jesus Christ: Prologue,” which follows some of the most important events in the Christian Savior’s life.

The game’s story apparently follows the events of the New Testament, letting the player experience life through the eyes of Jesus in a first-person view. Players will reportedly be able to heal others and produce miracles, according to the trailer.

The game also depicts some of the most notable moments in Jesus’ life, such as turning water into wine and fasting for 40 days in the desert, the trailer showed. The game also depicts Holy Spirit “energy levels,” which apparently need regular recharging, the video indicated.

The prologue is set to release Dec. 1, just in time for the Christmas season, according to the trailer’s description. The prologue is shortened and reportedly only takes place in the city of Nazareth, where Jesus grew up. The rest of the game is meant for release at some point in the first quarter of 2023, according to Entertainment Weekly. “Basically, over 20 years ago, I was so inspired by computer-animated movies like Shrek and Toy Story that I thought, ‘It would be great to make such a movie about Jesus Christ,’” Maksym Vysochanskiy, CEO of SimulaM, the company that developed the game, told Vice.
