Actress Sarah Hyland said Monday on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” that she threatened to turn around while walking down the aisle during her wedding if she didn’t see the groom, Wells Adams, crying.

“I actually, specifically, verbatim said: ‘If I don’t see you crying when I walk down the aisle, I’m turning around,'” the “Modern Family” actress told Clarkson. (RELATED: Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck’s Southern Wedding Was Jam-Packed With Special Touches)

Adams, 38, managed to cry as Hyland walked down the aisle in August. He proposed to Hyland, 32, in 2019, but because the COVID-19 pandemic caused delays, they wed in 2022. Wells joked that if another issue got in the way, they would marry in Las Vegas.

“We’re going to do it all over again, we’re going to go on a nice vacation to where we got engaged, we’re going to re-plan the entire engagement party again, we’re going to re-plan our bachelor and bachelorette parties, we’re going to kind of like, start a new one doing the wedding stuff,” Adams told People.

Hyland and Adams met on Twitter in 2017 when Hyland made the first move as Adams appeared on season six of “The Bachelorette.”

“Ugh! @WellsAdams making a Lord of the Flies reference on men tell all??? #knewhewasthebestfromthestart #menwhoreadarehot” Hyland tweeted.
