A former assistant to Khloe Kardashian reportedly filed a lawsuit against the reality television star, alleging she fired him after he suffered a knee injury and that he wasn’t properly compensated.

Matthew Manhard claimed he worked for Kardashian from January 2019 to November 2022. He said he suffered a knee injury that had him out of commission for a while and was fired as he attempted to return to work, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. Kardashian’s legal representative has pushed back against the allegations.

“It’s unfortunate to learn that a former employee would choose to go this route.” Kardashian’s legal representative told TMZ. “Matthew was properly classified and compensated for his role.”

“Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced,” they told TMZ. “We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit.” (RELATED: Adele Overshares About Her Health Woes During Live Performance In Las Vegas)

Manhard injured his knee in May and was fired when he attempted to rejoin as Khloe’s assistant in November 2022, according to TMZ.

Manhard alleged that the reality television star kept him so busy he was unable to take the breaks he was legally entitled to, and alleged that the reality star refused to pay him overtime wages even after he worked 12-hour days, according to TMZ. His court documents cite an infringement of various labor laws.
