The typical liberal scolds are going after rapper Ice Cube for statements he made during an interview with Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson.

During the interview, which Carlson posted to Twitter on Tuesday, the two men covered topics like the COVID-19 vaccine, homelessness, the Black Lives Matter movement, former President Barack Obama and the failures of politicians. It was fascinating to watch such starkly different individuals speak so openly to each other. The whole thing was a breath of fresh air in the ever-stagnating environment of our toxic political discourse.

If you had told me five years ago that Carlson and Cube would get along so well, or even do an interview like this, I would have thought you were crazy. But here we are, watching two grown men from different worlds bond over shared values.

And what brought these two together? All of the things that progressives have tried to force down our throats. And they’re furious about it, according to a slew of online outlets (and Twitter).

When we were told to bond over our fear during the pandemic, to unite and burn down cities during the George Floyd riots and to remain supportive of anti-policing policies during the homelessness epidemic, most of the country said no. We weren’t loud. We weren’t forceful with our beliefs, but we saw the crazy for what it was.

Then things kept getting crazier, and the progressives started pushing ideologies that are genuinely insane. That’s when we finally said: no more. Our distrust and disdain transcended race, religion, wealth, gender, all of the things we’re told (by the left) should separate us.

From this fear, we grew a much stronger bond, and all of that led to Tucker freaking Carlson doing one of the best interviews he’s ever done with the guy that wrote “F*ck The Police.”  How is America not uniting around how absolutely mind-blowingly incredible that is?! You don’t have to agree with Carlson and Cube to appreciate the magnitude of this moment in history. While there are many things that give me hope for the people of this country, this really nailed it for me today.
