Newly sober actor Dean McDermott revealed Wednesday how a pet pig and chicken ruined his sex life with Tori Spelling.
McDermott admitted his alcoholism caused financial problems and constant paparazzi attention for the now divorced couple, according to Daily Mail. He said the two were living like “roommates” by the time he hit rock bottom, noting his booze-induced rampages “petrified” his ex-wife and children.
“All Tori’s ever done to this day is want me to be happy and healthy and I inflicted a lot of damage and pain on that woman,” McDermott told Daily Mail. “I’m taking accountability for that today. And it’s the biggest amend that I’m ever going to have to make.”

Spelling insisted their pets, including a pig and a chicken, sleep in their shared bedroom, according to Daily Mail. As a result, McDermott stopped sleeping with Spelling in 2017.
McDermott announced his divorce from Spelling in a now-deleted Instagram post in June 2023, People reported.
However, McDermott doesn’t regret their marriage.
“It was a dream come true. And then we had to come back to Hollywood and deal with all the shit people gave us,” McDermott told Daily Mail. “After we got married, they were all saying ‘give it six months.’ Well, so much for six months — we showed you because it’s been 18 years and five kids.”
Rumors of marital trouble between the couple had surfaced years before their divorce. Spelling hit back against speculation the couple were going through a rough patch in May 2018, insisting she and McDermott “really balance each other.”
