The House Republican campaign arm announced on Tuesday that it raised a record amount of funds for November in an off-year election.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) brought in $9 million last month, topping the $7.2 million it raised in November of 2021, according to a press release obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The fundraising haul brings the committee to $41.4 million cash on hand, with rank and file members transferring almost $1 million more last month than in the previous off-year cycle.

“House Republicans stepped up to the plate and helped the Committee hit a fundraising grand slam – led by Speaker Johnson and our incredible leadership team,” NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson of North Carolina said in a statement. “With partners like this and an incredible political environment, extreme House Democrats should dread yet another cycle in the minority.”

In October, the NRCC raised a total of $5 million, bringing the committee’s cash on hand to $37.3 million, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings. (RELATED: NRCC Has Best Fundraising Day In Over 18 Months After Mike Johnson Wins Speakership)

The fundraising haul comes as some questioned House Speaker Mike Johnson’s fundraising ability ahead of what will likely be another close election in 2024. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy helped the NRCC raise over $40 million during the 2022 cycle and more than $20 million ahead of next year prior to his early October ouster.

The NRCC saw its best fundraising day since February 2022 on Friday, Oct. 27, after Johnson’s election, with $175,000 in contributions. The committee ended up bringing in nearly a half million over the three-day weekend, with a majority of the NRCC’s haul coming from emails signed by the speaker.

Prior to Johnson’s late October election, the congressman had only raised $553,000 for the entire year, ending the third fundraising quarter on Sept. 30 with just over $1 million cash on hand, according to the FEC filings.

Johnson was the House GOP’s fourth pick — after House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan and House Majority Whip Tom Emmer secured the party’s nomination — and he received unanimous support from Republican members when he secured the gavel.
