Potential Cause Of Death Of 3 Chiefs Fans Found Dead Revealed: REPORT

The three Kansas City Chiefs fans who were found frozen and dead in the backyard of a friend’s home after two days had drugs in their systems, a preliminary toxicology report said, according to Fox 4.

Three friends, David Harrington, 37, Clayton McGeeney, 36, and Ricky Johnson, 38, were found dead in the backyard of Jordan Willis’ home after failing to return from watching a game on Jan.  7 at Willis’ house, NewsNation reported. Their bodies were reportedly found frozen.

Police apparently informed the families of the deceased initial toxicology reports show the trio had multiple substances, cocaine among them, in their system at the time of death, according to Fox 4.

NewsNation’s national correspondent Alex Caprariello shared on Twitter that a family member apparently informed him “cocaine, fentanyl, and THC showed up in the preliminary results.”

“The family source says level 10 fentanyl is enough to kill. The #KansasCity3 were at level 30,” he wrote

The investigation remains ongoing and no additional details have been shared with the media, a law enforcement spokesperson stated, according to NewsNation.

Willis reportedly entered rehab after his friends were found deceased. The case is not currently being treated as a homicide, police said, according to the outlet.

The family of the three men have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding the deaths, Fox 4 reported. After the men failed to return home, friends and family allegedly tried to contact Willis but did not receive an answer, according to the outlet. The bodies were reportedly discovered when the fiancé of one of the deceased visited the home, broke in after receiving no answer and found a body.

Willis’ attorney, John Picerno, informed PEOPLE Willis is “unaware of how his friends died” through a statement.
