Dr. Steve Moysey is a retired intelligence officer and a recognized authority in the field of counterintelligence and counter-terrorism with a specialization in the study of international terrorism , national security, and geopolitical terrorism. He is an expert on the history and tactics of Irish Republican Army. He currently focuses on middle east terror and associated threats to national security. <br /> <br /> Dr. Moysey’s on-going research and writing pays particular attention to trends in international terrorism. His earlier work on the Balcombe Street siege and the Iranian Embassy siege in London has appeared internationally in the Journal of Police Crisis Negotiations (Haworth Press). His last documentary book on the Irish Republican Army terror campaign in London, and subsequent hostage standoff (The Road to Balcombe Street - Taylor and Francis), has become a standard reference work for many conflict and crisis training programs around the world.<br /> <br /> Steve has been a guest lecturer at several terrorism studies workshops in both the UK and the USA. As an internationally recognized expert in the field of crisis negotiation, Dr. Moysey has been interviewed on the BBC television news, BBC Five radio news, CNN and ABC and several print media outlets, including The Guardian, The Times and the Daily Telegraph. He is also a frequent contributor to nationally syndicated talk radio. <br /> <br /> Steve is a member of the American Psychological Association, The Society for Police and Criminal Psychology and the International Association for Counter-terrorism and Security Professionals. Steve also serves on the advisory panels of several Washington DC counter terrorism and conservative think-tanks. Steve also serves on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Police Emergency Response.<br /> <br /> Steve earned his PhD in psychology from the prestigious IDOC program at Tufts University.
