Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been deemed the most transcendent player at his position in the league.

Bucky Brooks recently tweeted out his list of most transcendent passers in the league, and Mahomes took the top spot. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

He was followed by Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson and Matthew Stafford.

It’s hard to disagree with Brooks’ rankings. In fact, I’m not sure what argument could be made against this top five from Brooks.

Mahomes has been unstoppable since taking over as the starting quarterback for the Chiefs. The NFL usually catches up with everybody.

It hasn’t even come close to catching up with Mahomes. Defenses still have no idea at all on how to stop the star dual-threat gunslinger.

He slices and dices, and did it all the way to a Super Bowl this past season.

The exact same stuff can be said about Russell Wilson. The Seattle Seahawks star has had to carry some atrocious offenses on his back.

Yet, he just always finds ways to win. I have no idea how he has managed to make the Seahawks competitive at times.

He has very little talent around him, and they just keep winning. You can’t put a price on that kind of talent.
