University Of Nebraska Plans On Having An Open Campus By Fall. Is It A Good Sign For Football Season?

The University of Nebraska plans to be open by the fall.

According to Omaha.com, university President Ted Carter said Friday that he expects the school to have classes on the campus in the fall. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Obviously, this raises a huge question about what will happen with the football season amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

I’ve said for a long time that I think the football season will happen. Do I know for sure? No, but I’m an optimist, and it seems to be trending in that direction.

The fact campus seems to be preparing to open in the fall only has me more convinced the season will happen.

Why would campuses open up, but football be canceled? That doesn’t make much sense.

Nebraska is one of the biggest football programs in America. They’re a historic powerhouse. If they signal they’re going to play football, then more teams will likely follow.
