San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is reportedly out for the foreseeable future.
According to Adam Schefter, the team’s star passer “is expected to be sidelined indefinitely with his high ankle sprain.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
He’s been struggling with the issue since week two of the season, and Nick Mullens will now return to the starting lineup.

This is really bad news for the 49ers. In fact, this is about as bad as it can get when it comes to the roster.
Losing your starting quarterback for an extended period of time in the NFL is a recipe for disaster.

Right now, the 49ers are currently sitting at .500 with a 4-4 record. So, the postseason is very much still in play for them.
