Famous “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Brian Austin Green revealed he previously suffered from serious, stroke-like symptoms on the Oct. 2 episode of Cheryl Burke’s “Sex, Lies and Spray Tans” podcast.

The 50-year-old actor said he suffered serious health issues before he was able to identify the root cause of his woes — his diet.

“I’d spent four and a half years recovering from stroke-like symptoms without ever having had a stroke, but I couldn’t speak,” Green said on the podcast. Green said doctors diagnosed him with vertigo and ulcerative colitis, and the combination led to him being bedridden for three months.

He noted it took his specialists quite a while to figure out the root cause of his health issues.

“Then these neurological things started happening after the vertigo, and that was — it was four and a half years of my life. I got to the point where I shuffled like I was a 90-year-old man,” Green said.

“I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t read. I couldn’t write,” he said of his health struggles.

Burke asked him if this could have been related to a previous, serious car accident he was in.

“No, it was dietary,” he said.

“It was all undiagnosed by Western medicine, so I ended up having to finally find a doctor that is much more into, like, kinesiology and Eastern medicine,” he said. (RELATED: Krayzie Bone Recalls Fighting For His Life ‘Literally For 9 Days Straight)

After several attempts at trying to obtain the correct diagnosis, Green’s new physician told him he was suffering from “internal inflammation from gluten and dairy,” and he noted stress was triggering his issues.

“I had such brain fog that I reintroduced my best friend of like 25 plus years to my sister who he had also known for 25 plus years,” Green said. He then shocked Burke, saying reading Dr. Seuss books proved to be challenging during the time of his illness.
