Brittany and Jason Aldean joined the “Try That In A Small Town” podcast Monday, where the conversation turned to the drama they’ve faced since becoming politically vocal.

Most of the drama surrounding the Aldean family kicked off during summer 2023, when he dropped his absolutely iconic song, “Try That in a Small Town.” Yes, the podcast is named after the song, and the hosts are Aldean’s co-writers, according to Whiskey Riff. The song outraged liberal coastal elites because it accurately described what would happen should they bring their insane political policies, ideologies and behaviors to rural (real) America.

Failed country music artist Maren Morris desperately tried to gain public popularity by attacking the Aldean family, namely Brittany, for her public stance against child mutilation surgeries, among other things. And even though things clearly backfired for Morris publicly, things may be different behind closed doors.

“She’s got a group of friends here in Nashville that they just, have it out for me for whatever reason. To be so pro-woman and all the bullshit — you’re not, because I’ve never said a word to you, and you come for me why? Because I’m an easy target, because I’m a wife and I don’t have a stage as a platform, but I have social media?” Brittany told the podcast hosts. “For some reason, I offend them.”

Brittany noted that she never went after Morris for anything personal, although she did call her. All she did was take a public stance against mutilating children — what’s the problem here? (RELATED: Brittany Aldean Stuns In Summertime Party Outfit)

“I just said that, thank the Lord my parents allowed me to go through my tomboy phase without changing my gender, because it’s so common these days,” she continued. “And y’all, it was World War III at that point … She started to make fun of my business, which at the time was hair extensions. But to me it’s like, once again, going back to the feminist movement, aren’t you supposed to be all peace, love and all inclusivity and all the things? Why are you coming for me like that about my business?”

US former President and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump shakes hands with US singer Jason Aldean as his wife singer Brittany Kerr looks on, on the last day of the 2024 Republican National Convention at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 18, 2024. Donald Trump will get a hero’s welcome Thursday as he accepts the Republican Party’s nomination to run for US president in a speech capping a convention dominated by the recent attempt on his life. I highly recommend listening to the full podcast episode. Aside from the great stories from what appears to be a wonderful family, Brittany is right. God did put her in this position in her life for a reason. I think that reason is to be a leader for young American women in the pursuit of the American Dream. “I don’t need to work. I choose to work. Let’s do that, too. I am a working woman who doesn’t have to, who wants to provide for my children and my family, and that should be something to be proud of, not put down.”

And ladies, haven’t we been praying for someone like her for way, way, way too long?
