The newly married “30 Rock” star and purported photographer assaulter Alec Baldwin wants to be a politician.
“I think I do want to go into politics. I really, really do,” Baldwin told Vanity Fair in the magazine’s upcoming August issue. “And I don’t know if I will.”
But the actor, who has a history of volatile behavior, doesn’t know if he wants to deal with all of the “shit” that comes with being a political figure. Baldwin has previously flirted with the idea of a New York City mayoral run.
Although no data is available at this time, we can’t imagine he can win over the votes of the crucial paparazzi demographic, nor ex-wife Kim Basinger’s lawyer, who he said he wanted to beat “with a baseball bat” at times.
Baldwin also told VF that he wanted to “gut” TMZ founder Harvey Levin, over a leaked voicemail during which the actor called his daughter a “pig.”
The world renowned hothead said he wants to invite fellow world renowned hothead Mel Gibson onto his podcast to talk about what he has learned from all of his highly publicized run-ins with the law and racist outbursts.
Baldwin told the magazine that he wants to learn some stuff from the alleged woman beater and known anti-Semite:
“I said, ‘Mel, this isn’t about regurgitating. You’re one of the greatest movie stars of your generation and you were one of the most successful directors in this business and you won the Academy Award. And the only thing I want to ask you about the travails in your life is: What did you learn?’”
Baldwin was married over the weekend to 27-year-old yoga instructor, Hilaria Thomas, in Manhattan. The actor also put a dent in social media world Monday when he deactivated his hyperactive Twitter account for the third time.
