HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Cecile Richards, president of the non-profit organization Planned Parenthood, told The Daily Caller that taxpayers do not fund any of her yearly salary of nearly $400,000.

TheDC asked Richards for her response to critics who argue that it is not fair for Planned Parenthood to accept federal funding while paying her almost $400,000 annually.

“None of my salary is paid for by the federal government and Planned Parenthood is reimbursed for health care services and, quite frankly, we provide more health care for lower cost than any women’s health care provider in the country,” she told TheDC after Tuesday’s presidential debate at Hofstra University.
