Donald Trump brought up the issue of Bill Clinton’s “rape” allegations Wednesday during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News.

While discussing The New York Times article that claimed Trump mistreated women, the presumptive Republican nominee said, “It’s been a disaster for The New York Times because The New York Times is a whole big con job.”

Hannity warned Trump that “this is going to be the campaign, the Clintons are known for being very dirty.”

Trump replied, “Oh, I know, but the good thing about this, this sets the table. You know, this sort of sets the stage, people have seen this.”

Referring to The New York Times story, Trump claimed it “frankly wasn’t even that bad if you want to know the truth. It’s… like minor stuff. I said to one of the women, I said, ‘Don’t eat — you shouldn’t have a piece of candy.’ Okay… how do you compare that against Clinton, okay, what Clinton’s done.” (RELATED: Trump Ex-Girlfriend: New York Times ‘Spun’ My Words, Donald Was ‘A Gentleman’ [VIDEO])

“What about what Clinton’s done,” Hannity asked. “How big an issue should that be in the campaign? For example, I looked at The New York Times, are they going to interview Juanita Broaddrick,  are they going to interview Paula Jones, are they going to interview Kathleen Willey? In one case it’s about exposure, in another case it’s about groping and fondling and touching and fondling against a woman’s will.” (RELATED: Bill Clinton’s Rape Accuser Calls Out New York Times For Failing To Cover Allegations Against Ex-POTUS)

“And rape,” Trump interjected.

Repeating Trump, Hannity said, “And rape.”

“And big settlements, massive settlements,” Trump said. (WATCH: Gingrich: Clinton Is ‘A Target-Rich Environment’ Regarding Relationships With Women)

“$850,000 for Paula Jones,” Hannity noted.

“And lots of other things and impeachment for lying,” Trump added.

“Smearing, besmirchment of women,” Hannity included.

Trump then noted that Clinton lost his law license after lying under oath but “you don’t read about this on Clinton.” (VIDEO: Bill Clinton Avoids Reporter’s Question About Reemergence Of Juanita Broaddrick)

Returning to his criticism of The New York Times, Trump added, “[I]f you look at [George] Stephanopoulos, these are like the pipe organs for Hillary Clinton. Stephanopoulos, I get on his show the other day, it started– I couldn’t believe it and I actually said to him obviously you’re representing, he gave a lot of money to the Foundation [and] he never told anybody.” (WATCH: Trump Blasts Stephanopoulos: Hillary Is ‘A Good Friend Of Yours’ And ‘You Didn’t Reveal It’)

Some of the women who accuse Clinton of sexual misconduct include Broaddrick, Jones, Willey, Eileen Wellstone, Carolyn Moffet, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, Becky Brown, Helen Dowdy, and Cristy Zercher.

In the Starr Report, Monica Lewinsky testified that Bill Clinton told her that “he had hundreds of affairs” before he turned 40.
