Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Is The World’s Highest Paid Actor In 2016

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the world’s highest paid actor in 2016.

The 44-year old brought in $64.5 million, more than doubling what he took home last year, knocking Robert Downey Jr. out of first place, according to Forbes’ annual ranking(RELATED: Jennifer Lawrence Is The Highest Paid Actress For Second Year In A Row)

Johnson’s biggest box office hits that contributed to taking the top spot included “Central Intelligence” and his upcoming films “Fast 8” and “Baywatch.” (RELATED: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Considers Running For Office)

Coming in second place was 62-year-old actor Jackie Chan, who took home $61 million for movies that were released in China. In third was 45-year-old actor Matt Damon, who brought in $55 million for “The Martian.”

Jennifer Lawrence was the top-earning actress, bringing in $46 million in 2016.
