QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“What’s his thing with blood and bleeding?”

The Washington Examiner‘s White House correspondent heads to Fox News
Alex Pappas doesn’t like to work anywhere just once. After eight months into his second stint at The Washington Examiner, White House correspondent Pappas is going to work as a writer for FoxNews.com. A Fox News spokesperson confirmed the news. He’ll start his new gig in July. In 2009, he spent eight months working as a an intern in his home state for The Mobile Press-Register. Between 2011 and 2016, Pappas worked for The Daily Caller for five years and seven months. In late 2010, after working for The Daily Caller for a year, he worked briefly for The Washington Examiner for six months before returning to The Daily Caller. And now, he’s leaving the Examiner — we think — for the last and final time. He did not comment on the job change except to say, “I hear ya.” Pappas, who is known for elaborate as well as simplistic but humorous office pranks, will work in FNC’s Washington bureau. Watch your couches and your Greek food! Congrats, Pappas.
Ex-Politico labor reporter Mike Elk feels the need to swim
“I gotta go for a swim. These rich kid left intellectuals have been pulling the same personal attacks on me for years for calling out wages.” — Mike Elk.
CNN’s Chris Cillizza has a lecture on President Trump’s bloody words
“What’s truly depressing about the reaction to Trump’s tweets is that it was predictable. While some Republicans — Sens. Ben Sasse, Lindsey Graham — condemned Trump for stooping below the dignity of the office, many GOPers rallied to his cause. Here’s the thing: Take off your partisan hat. Ask yourself whether Trump’s comments this morning represent behavior we should defend in a president (or anyone else) no matter what party they represent. The answer has to be a resounding ‘no.’ This isn’t about politics. It’s about who we are and the sort of community and world we want to live in.” — CNN’s Cillizza in “The Point” newsletter.
“So many mute buttons… so little time.” — Ben Smith, digital communications, formerly with The Washington Examiner.
Breitbart lede suggests bloody details about Mika are true
“President Donald Trump turned his ire on MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and his fiancé Mika Brzezinski, branding them with new nicknames and dishing embarrassing details about their relationship.”
— The above lede is from a story by Breitbart News White House correspondent Charlie Spiering. So does this mean Mika really had a bloody face-lift? Spiering implies that the nicknames Trump handed the media couple — Psycho Joe and Low I.Q. Crazy Mika — as well as her face-life are true.
Journo seeks exceptional under-eye concealer
“Ladies, do you have an under-eye concealer that you love? I’m not happy with my Clinique concealer; it doesn’t cover the dark circles well and always looks smudgy. Any help would be appreciated.” — Ashe Schow, RealClearInvestigations.
