The infamous Papa John has clarified the bold statement he made back in November about eating 40 pizzas in 30 days.

John Schnatter claims he never said he eats 40 pizzas in 30 days during an episode of the “H3 Podcast” published Monday.

“I didn’t say I’d eaten 40 pizzas in 30 days, I said that I had 40 pizzas in 30 days,” Papa John clarified on the podcast.

“When I said I had a pizza, this means I’m inspecting,” he continued. “I’m not eating every pizza, I may be eating parts of pizzas.”

Schnatter went on to say that he now eats roughly eight to nine slices per week, but before he stepped away from the company he was eating between 12 and 15 slices. If you factor in the new information, that he was only having a couple bites per slice, he would only be eating one and a half pizzas per week.

That’s only six pizzas a month. (RELATED: ‘The Day Of Reckoning Will Come’: Papa John’s Founder Promises Armageddon For Pizza Joint)

It just keeps on getting worse for Papa John. Schnatter resigned from his role in the company in July of 2018, after he used the n-word during a conference call.

Now, he’s caught kind of lying about how many pizzas he eats in a month. Papa John’s Pizza is good. In fact, it is my favorite brand of delivery pizza. He should just stop talking and let the pizza speak for itself.
