2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden’s accuser Tara Reade re-examined her allegations against the former vice president during an exclusive interview with “60 Minutes Australia” that aired Sunday.

“I decided that people need to know,” Reade said on the program. “He’s going to the highest office of the land. He’s running on a platform of character. Well, I know what he’s like. I know what his character’s like. And he doesn’t deserve the presidency, based on what happened to me.”

Reade accused Biden in March of kissing her, touching her, and penetrating her with his fingers without her consent — allegations which Biden denied. Subsequent media reporting on Reade’s background cast doubts on her credibility, and her story dropped from national attention amidst rioting, protesting, and concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

“There’s nothing to gain,” she said to “60 Minutes Australia” of coming forward with her allegations, as she appeared to fight back tears. “I lost work, legitimacy, I lost my reputation. I lost friendships. I lost my housing, everything, money, everything.”(RELATED: ‘I Want The Same Equal Treatment’: Biden Accuser Tara Reade Tears Into Media, Women’s Groups, Democratic Politicians)

Though Biden has repeatedly denied her allegations, his accuser said she believes that “deep down he knows.”

The “60 minutes Australia” interview said that both President Donald Trump and Biden have been accused of sexual misconduct and played a clip of Trump saying that he would “grab” beautiful women “by the pussy.” The president apologized for this remark in 2016, calling it “locker room banter.”

Trump has faced 25 sexual assault allegations, a Business Insider review found, including seven allegations of inappropriate behavior or touching, 16 allegations of forcible groping or kissing, and two allegations of sexual assault or rape.

Biden has also been accused of sexual misconduct on eight occasions, according to Business Insider, including seven allegations of inappropriate behavior or touching and Reade’s allegation of sexual assault. Reade insisted that if Biden were a Republican, her allegations would have been taken more seriously.

“I think the fact that he’s an elite Democrat put him in this untouchable position,” Reade said.

The Biden accuser condemned the media’s silence regarding her sexual assault allegations against Biden in an April interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation, demanding equal treatment as “other survivors” like Christine Blasey Ford.

“It’s inexcusable,” she told the DCNF. “I’m sorry that I’m politically inconvenient but my perpetrator was Joe Biden. And people need to deal with it.”

Former White House Press Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci told “60 Minutes Australia” that Reade’s allegations “matter to some” but that they are outweighed by other issues for voters in the 2020 election.

“It’s on both sides, right? So you’ve got allegations being made on both sides,” he added.

Scaramucci said that Trump’s supporters have “made a decision that he is not a politician, and so because he’s never lived his life with great sanctimony or that level of righteousness that politicians live their lives with, his supporters have decided to give him a pass.”

“These are two old-fashioned guys, remember one is 75, the other is 78,” Scaramucci said, “and I think they grew up in a society that was a little bit more patriarchal than the one we are living in now, so they probably had less sensitivity, and I think people will overlook that that are  voting for Joe Biden the same way they’re going to overlook elements of that who are Trump supporters.”

The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the DCNF on Reade’s interview.
