Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a video Wednesday of her confronting comedian Alex Stein.

Stein, known for trolling politicians and city council meetings, was filming on the steps of the Capitol when Ocasio-Cortez walked by, as seen in videos shared by the congresswoman and Stein on their social media accounts. “AOC my favorite big booty Latina, I love you!” Stein called out to Ocasio-Cortez, “She wants to kill babies, but she’s still beautiful.”

After Stein uploaded the clip, Ocasio-Cortez took to her social media, saying “I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down [because] it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame. It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad.”

“Here is a video he posted of the incident,” Ocasio-Cortez continued, sharing the clip of her posing with Stein for a moment before continuing up the steps. “I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today.”

Ocasio-Cortez then took to Instagram to share a series of stories, first discussing the incident with Stein, and then decrying the alleged inaction and threats she feels about Capitol police. “I’m just telling you because this institution is not designed to protect people,” Ocasio-Cortez told her followers.

Roughly four hours later, Ocasio-Cortez turned her attention to a Capitol police officer that was allegedly nearby when Stein approached her. The congresswoman decried the officer for not asking Stein to “take a step back,” as seen in the video below. “This officer was just cool with it,” Ocasio-Cortez claimed.

“I really just can’t help but think of all that footage and evidence that we saw the day of — of all these Capitol police officers helping and being sympathetic to the insurrectionists on January 6th,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “And everyone just decided it was too politically difficult to deal with, so they all just brushed it under the rug, and to this day there has never been an investigation into that.”

Ocasio-Cortez argued that a lack of investigation into Capitol police officers means that she and her colleagues “have no idea which officers are safe to be around.” She was convinced not to “deck” Stein by her staff, she said in her Instagram stories.

“Right now, the world is desperate for good men,” she claimed. (RELATED: Comedian Alex Stein Freestyle Raps About Abortion At City Council Meeting)

Stein’s video has racked up more than 2 million views since being shared by Ocasio-Cortez and others.

“AOC always complains about being sexualized and how everyone wants to date her so I wanted to actually sexualize her in a harmless way, knowing that she would go insane and have to share what happened to the entire world,” Stein told the Daily Caller in an exclusive comment. “They say never feed a troll, but AOC just gave me an unlimited buffet.”

Ocasio-Cortez subsequently blocked Stein, which he shared on Twitter.
