Newly released police video shows Odell Beckham Jr. hurling insults at a fellow passenger aboard an airplane Nov. 27.
Passengers reportedly became irate after the NFL star refused to put on his seatbelt at the request of flight attendants, according to the New York Post. The athlete’s refusal to cooperate reportedly delayed the departure of the other passengers and the situation became heated.
Video shows Miami-Dade Police Officers attempting to engage Beckham, but in spite of their efforts to encourage him to participate, the athlete began hurling insults at a man on the plane, calling him “fat” and “ugly,” as seen on the video posted by TMZ.

Police boarded the American Airlines plane at Miami International Airport when the 30-year-old former Rams receiver was reported as unresponsive to the requests made by flight attendants, according to the New York Post. “I’ve never had this happen to me,” Beckham told police.
The officers echoed the instructions given by the flight staff, and requested for Beckham to deboard the plane.
“We’re going to have to deplane everybody on this plane, and then you’re still going to get off,” police said. Beckham responded, “That’s fine.”
Officers told the passengers to deboard, and as they began to collect their items to depart the plane, one person told Beckham to “just get off,” which seemed to enrage the athlete.

“Looking at me to get off a plane, for you. I would never, ever in my life get off the plane for you. Specifically you,” he said. “Maybe everybody else, I would get off the plane,” Beckham said.
Beckham continued to berate the passenger in front of the police.
“You gon’ wait 40 minutes and I’m going to be on a private plane home. Yeah, with your fat ass. Get your ass off the plane for a second,” Beckham said.
“Enjoy the cheese board on the way home with your ugly ass,” he said.
Beckham was eventually led off the plane by police. His attorney said the star athlete had simply fallen asleep and claimed a flight attendant blew the situation out of proportion, according to TMZ.
