Carrie Underwood Makes Big Business Announcement

Famous country singer Carrie Underwood took to social media Monday to reveal she is expanding her brand with her very own SiriusXM Station.

Underwood’s music selections will be streamed 24/7 and is set to launch in June. “I’m thrilled to partner with SiriusXM on my new channel,” Underwood said in a statement issued to Instagram. “I can’t wait to welcome listeners into my personal musical universe, sharing my favorite music across all of the genres I love, from classic rock to the latest in country,” she said.

A recently released press release said Underwood will “‘highlight her friends, favorites, and influences’ and will include country hits from the past and present, gospel tunes, workout favorites, and many more,” according to American Songwriter.

“Listeners will also hear high-octane favorites from classic to hard rock for your morning exercise or your late-night jam sessions,” she said in the release.

Underwood will also share some insight into her personal life, with the statement promising that “the stories behind her music, record-breaking career, and life on the road will be shared, and much more.”

SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein gushed about the project and expressed his excitement about joining forces with the country music star.

“Carrie Underwood is one of country music’s biggest and most multi-faceted artists today, and to collaborate with her on her very own SiriusXM channel is truly special,” he said in a statement, according to American Songwriter. (RELATED: Gordon Lightfoot Dead At Age 84)

“‘Carrie’s Country’ will give listeners and fans the opportunity to connect with her on a new level, beyond her musical choices and influences, as she curates the channel’s programming. We welcome her to the SiriusXM family as we continue to expand our country music offerings to our subscribers,” he said.

Underwood also resumes her Las Vegas residency in June, making it a big month for the country music star and her fans.
