Police have charged Hollywood producer and writer Laurence Andries with drugging and raping a man, ABC7 reported Thursday.

The man, who investigators said has come forth with allegations because of concerns about more victims, shared his story exclusively with ABC7, according to the outlet.

“I believe that he drugged one of my drinks, took me to his place and then… I can’t say the word. I’m sorry, I can’t say it,” the man, who wants to be identified as John Doe, said.

The criminal complaint against Andries says that the producer, who worked on shows including “Six Feet Under,” “Blue Bloods,” “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Supernatural,” was John Doe’s mentor, ABC7 reported.

John Doe alleged that he met Andries at a writers’ program, and they became friends, but that changed in 2022 when Andries invited him out for drinks. (RELATED: ‘American Idol’ Producer Nigel Lythgoe Slapped With Fourth Sexual Assault Suit, Court Filing Says)

“I always made it very clear, like, I’m heterosexual, that’s not me, OK,” John Doe said. “I never even thought I had to say ‘This (expletive) is never going to happen.'”

John Doe said his life changed, and that the revelations put his Hollywood career in peril, according to ABC7.

Despite the possible negative impact on his career, however, Doe hopes he inspires others to come forward, ABC7 reported.

“You still have a voice. He did not take that away from you,” John Doe said. “You have power to use your voice to help to ensure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.”

The 66-year-old Andries has been charged with six felonies, including sodomy, oral copulation and sexual penetration while the victim was unconscious by the use of a drug, and faces a total of 12 years in prison if convicted on all counts, according to ABC7.
