Just Sir Charles being Sir Charles.

Legendary basketball player and analyst Charles Barkley might have gone to Auburn University, and yeah, he may hate the University of Alabama, but he couldn’t help but to be “ROLL TIDE!” Sunday night after a disastrous performance by Grand Canyon.

During a second-round matchup in the NCAA March Madness tournament between the Lopes and Crimson Tide, the 12-seed Grand Canyon put up a strong fight against the four-seed Alabama, down just eight points at the half. They ultimately lost the game, 72-61, but despite the close action, Barkley wasn’t feeling the Lopes … at all. Speaking on CBS’ postgame show for the contest, Barkley absolutely hammered Grand Canyon.

“Grand Canyon, that was the dumbest game of basketball I think I’ve ever seen,” said Barkley. “Everybody went one-on-one. They missed how many free throws? I’m not sure what they were doing offensively. I don’t think they ran a play the entire second half. That was some of the dumbest basketball I’ve ever seen from grown college men.”

Rough.

Just imagine being a Grand Canyon player, you grew up a huge fan of Charles Barkley and then you hear this (remember, you’re just a college kid)…

Absolutely brutal.
