New York Jets star Quinnen Williams won’t face legal issues stemming from an arrest on a gun charge.
Williams was arrested in March at LaGuardia Airport in New York, and was charged with criminal possession of a weapon over a handgun. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

According to TMZ, the criminal charge has been dropped, and Williams will only get a minor citation.
Following the charge being dropped, his attorney Alex Spiro released a statement, and explained, “As we said from the outset, this matter has been resolved with no criminal charges. This case was nothing more than a technical issue with the storing of the firearm which is why the government gave Mr. Williams nothing more than a ticket.”

It sounds like common sense won the day with this case, and that’s a good thing for Williams and gun owners everywhere.
New York has notoriously strict gun laws, and there isn’t often wiggle room. However, everyone involved here realized that no serious crime had been committed, and it was a storage issue more than anything else.

Now, Williams can get back to focusing solely on football with this matter behind him.
