Cam Newton will miss his second straight game when the Panthers play the Texans on Sunday.

According to Adam Schefter on Monday, Newton is out once again with a foot injury and Kyle Allen will start at quarterback for the Panthers. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

You’d think Panthers fans would be worried about Newton not playing, but they really don’t have any reason to be.

Kyle Allen looked awesome against the Cardinals. He was slicing and dicing all over the field. He looked lightyears better than anything we’ve seen out of Newton.

At this point in time, you might as well ride with Allen.

Things are going to get really interesting if the Panthers keep winning with Allen running the show. Would Carolina really bench Newton in favor of the young passer with limited NFL experience?

Who knows, but the NFL is all about winning. Right now, they’re much better this season with Allen than Newton.

It’s wild how Newton was dominant a few years back, and now he’s slipping into irrelevance as Kyle Allen thrives.

The world of the NFL is an insane place. As always, expect the unexpected.
