There are a lot of heroes out there, but nobody has answered the bell like people involved with football. That’s just a fact, and I’ve loved watching the football community step up during America’s time of need.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron is leading the fight in Louisiana, and he’s getting the message out about what people need to do to stay safe.

Nick Saban also released a message about staying indoors and doing your part to win this war.

Dabo Swinney and Mike Leach both reminded the country that if we won WWII, then we are more than capable of beating a virus.

Ohio State coach Ryan Day has also raised awareness about mental health during these trying times as we fight the war against coronavirus.

Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst also has lent his voice to the war efforts by encouraging people to do whatever they can to win.

These are just a few of the many examples out there from the world of football. I’ve always thought people who don’t understand the importance of sports are stupid.

Now, there’s no excuse for ever pretending like sports don’t matter. There are a ton of examples of football coaches not just stepping up, but leading the fight.

When coronavirus punched America, our football coaches punched back just as hard.
