The St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates series has reportedly been postponed.

According to Jeff Passan, the entire series between the two teams has been postponed until a later date. The Cardinals have had major issues this season after positive coronavirus tests, and their series against the Pirates are just the latest games to be called off. Games were supposed to start Monday.

It’s truly incredible watching how the NBA and MLB have handled the coronavirus in their own ways and the respective outcomes.

The NBA created a bubble in Orlando at Disney, and it’s been incredibly successful. In fact, the NBA’s bubble has been insanely successful.

The MLB went a different direction. The league didn’t create a bubble, and has allowed teams to travel. It’s been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster.

The Marlins and Cardinals have both been smashed by coronavirus, had to cancel games and both organizations have appeared to be at the brink.

While there’s certainty at all in what will happen, I think it’s very realistic to wonder whether or not the season will finish as planned.

The MLB has just had one problem after another thanks to coronavirus. Hopefully, the league figures out a way to get the situation under control, but at this point, we should all know that it’s just chaos.

I can promise this won’t be the last hiccup the MLB has.
