Gregg Marshall is no longer the basketball coach at Wichita State.

According to a Tuesday release from the Shockers, Marshall has resigned from the program. He will receive $7.75 million over six years as contract settlement with the program. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The decision comes after Marshall was accused of inappropriate conduct with players and staff. He was accused of punching former player Shaq Morris and getting physical with former assistant coach Kyle Lindsted. Marshall denied the allegations.

Well, I guess that’s the end Marshall’s time with the Shockers. 2020 is truly the most insane year I’ve ever lived through.

Imagine telling people a year ago that Marshall would resign as the head coach of WSU. Nobody would have believed you.

Obviously, nobody saw these circumstances coming, and Greg Marshall is now on the job market. At least he won’t be going broke anytime soon!

Marshall built one of the most dominant mid-major programs in the history of college basketball, and it’s over just like that.

We’ll see if WSU can survive without him. Clearly, the program has monster expectations to live up to, and they’ll be doing without the coach who got them to that point.
