It sounds like Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars” trilogy is still happening.

Johnson directed and wrote “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” and it was announced in 2017 that he was getting his own trilogy. However, there hasn’t been much news since, but the wheels are apparently still turning. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)

Following an interview with Sariah Johnson, Sariah Wilson tweeted that the trilogy is still happening, but there are “no dates or timelines because he has other projects going on.”

I’m conflicted here because I know Johnson is talented, but “The Last Jedi” wasn’t good at all. If there was ever a time to pull the plug, it’d be right now.

Hell, it would have been better to pull the plug a couple years ago. The lack of news had people thinking Disney might have jumped shape, but that doesn’t sound like it’s the case.

However, I promise you fans will riot if the product is disappointing like “The Last Jedi.”

Having said that, we also know Johnson can bring the heat when he wants to. When he’s on the top of his game, he can throw a mean fastball.

“Knives Out” was one of the best movies that I’ve seen in a long time.

So, which version of Johnson are we going to get? Are we going to get “Last Jedi” or are we going to get “Knives Out”?

If it’s the latter, then I’m all in. If it’s like the 2017 “Star Wars” film, then count me the hell out.
